Those times where you thought you have given a lot of yourself, it’s not really true. Maybe you have only given an inch. Believe that there is more depth to you than you thought so. It’s true, you know. When you think that you have given the best of you, then you probably have and it is only their loss that they don’t see it. It’s a bit contradicting, I know but my point is that you can give too much and still people won’t see it but there is actually more depth to you. The act of giving is something that is supposed to be endless. People might think that you are being a pushover but in actual fact, you love to give.
But in giving, there has to be a take. Sure, you love to give and you don’t expect anything in return... but please don’t be a fool. It doesn’t always have to be of the same value but it is more in the appreciation. For me, words will suffice but I don’t always take words. Because words can be just that, words.. and no actions are taken. When you realise that all you have done is give without taking, you have to put a stop or change your destiny.
You will learn, that in time, you mostly only have yourself. Despite being someone who gives a lot. And when someone decides to give back all that you have lost, you’ll feel awkward to accept it. But please do, you deserve that and more.
