I have always loved writing. I’m very interested in journalism but I’m aware that there are some unethical journalism. I’ve seen how a headline can be written out of context or suggest a different approach. People will read a headline and already have a judgement towards the article. Sometimes I wonder if people develop their own opinions or just blindly believe what they read.
I’d like to think that there is more to humanity than just profiling people by their race or religion. For most of us, we grew up in a community where we are fed with culture and ideas that conforms to what our ancestors believe in. As I grew older, I began to open up my mind and realise that not everything has to be followed. I can be my own person. And you can too. If whatever you have believed in seems morally wrong, get out of it and make a change. You don’t have to mould into it. You don’t have to be what people expect you to be.
This is why I never fit in. And I’m sure that I am not alone. That’s the beauty of this life. We tend to find people who are like-minded and find comfort in the fact that we have similar interests. Differences are good too, not to say that they are always bad. It gives an insight to a different perspective instead of how we see it always. But too much of a difference can cause a conflict. I hope for me, when I find a partner, our differences will be what makes up for each other’s weaknesses.
